The Doctoral Consortium, that is part of the LNETN Conference, will take place on June 19-21, 2023.

  • We encourage PhD students taking part in the Doctoral Consortium to attend the LNETN Conference that will take place on June 22-24, 2023.

Learning objectives

The Doctoral Consortium aims to:

  • Acquaint PhD students with beyond state-of-the-art knowledge about legitimacy and legitimation, incl., from practice perspective and diverse methods of enquiry into legitimation and legitimacy
  • Give feedback to PhD students on their work in progress (on legitimacy and legitmation related work) from the faculty LNETN and external faculty

The Doctoral Consortium will be delivered using a mixture of lecture-based and interactive teaching methods, including group assignments, presentations and feedback, practitioner led workshops with a focus on legitimation and legitimacy in practice and employability, debating and elevator pitching of own PhD topics, and PhD students' presentations of own research and respective feedback.

who can attend

The Doctoral Consortium attracts PhD students who are at various stages in their PhD projects interested in Legitimation and Legitimacy of Newness.

The course admits 10-15 PhD students in addition to the 15 PhD students who are part of the LNETN Consortium.

Credits

  • 1 ECTS (certificate) if a PhD student succesfully completes the Doctoral Consortium
  • 2 ECTS (certificate) if a PhD student succesfully completes the Doctoral Consortium and presents a paper at the Conference

Deadlines

Participation fee

  • 180 EUR to take part in the Doctoral Consortium
  • 360 EUR to take part in the Doctoral Consortium and the Conference

The fee will cover costs related to lunches, coffee breaks, two dinners (1DC+1C), and training and conference material. Each participant is responsible for his/her own travel and accommodation.
