This is the 2nd edition of the PhD course in ‘Authentic Leadership’ that aims to contribute to PhD training through discovering as well as nurturing and developing leadership authenticity skills among doctoral researchers.

It is a 5 ECTS course which will provide doctoral researchers with theoretical and conceptual understanding of the concept of Authentic Leadership (AL) and train them in critical reflection and application of AL in different contexts. The course is based on the principle of complex problem solving, bringing in real life problems that doctoral researchers will aim to address.

You may learn more about the course from its Alumni:

The course will enrol max 25 doctoral researchers: 4 from each partner university of the IETN project and 5 from outside the Consortium. IETN will cover the participation costs for doctoral researchers from the Consortium. The selection of doctoral researchers will be based on their motivation letter

The course will take place on February 14-18 2022, being hosted by University of Siegen in Germany and accredited by Aalborg University, Denmark.

This PhD course is part of the Erasmus+ project titled: International Entrepreneurship Network for PhD and PhD Supervisor Training (IETN) that is implemented by a Consortium of five universities:

    Testimonials

"At the beginning of the third year of my PhD studies, I took the course "Authentic Leadership". Wish I could take it at the very beginning of my research journey. The course gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas for further research and collaboration. In addition, it made me think about my previous problems, reconsider them and transform them into strengths. A lot of new important and useful information was studied within the framework of practically oriented group work on case studies. The organization of the course is excellent, I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to accelerate leadership skills in the perspective of not only academia but also company world."
